What is a freebie site?
You’ve all heard of these sites. Sign up, complete an offer and get X number of people to sign up and do the same. This is a typical referral based freebie site. Gifts range from PS3s, Xbox 360s, iPods, Nintendo Wiis to cash.

How do they work?
Here are the basic steps:

  1. Sign up at a freebie site and pick the gift you want.
  2. Complete the appropriate amount of affiliate offers to meet the site requirements.
  3. Refer the number of people you need for your gift. Your referrals also need to complete the site requirements for you to receive credit for the referral.

For most sites you only need to complete an offer worth one full credit. In my experience 90% of the offers will only cost you $0-$10! You can get a PS3 for $5.95!!

How can they give this stuff away?
Trust me when I tell you they aren’t losing any money doing this. Every time an offer is completed on a freebie site, they are paid by the sponsor. Think of it as advertising. If you do a Netflix trial offer, the freebie site gets paid by Netflix. If you decide to keep it, Netflix gets a new customer. It’s a win/win situation!

Are these sites scams?
The majority of these sites are not scams. It’s best to do a little research on the company before proceeding. If you have any doubt of the company’s validity, please look them up on the Better Business Bureau’s web site. Any site recommended here has a proven track record. If you are still in doubt, check out the proof pics on the right. I will be adding proof pics as I complete more sites. And if you are still in doubt, check out some of the links at the end of this article.

How do I get started?
Before getting started, I have a few tips to make your freebie experience a good one.

  1. It’s best to use Internet Explorer with all freebie sites.
  2. Change your settings to accept all cookies. In Internet Explorer go to Tools > Internet Options > Privacy and move the slider to the bottom.
  3. You should always clear your cookies and delete your temporary internet files before completing an offer on any site. In Internet Explorer go to Tools > Internet Options and click the Delete Cookies and Delete Files buttons.
  4. Read the Terms of Service for each offer you do. You want to make sure aren't any hidden charges.
  5. Keep good records of the offers you do. I recommend keeping a spreadsheet for each site with the following information: date, cost, length of trial and customer service phone number.
  6. Read the Terms of Service on each freebie site.
  7. You can only sign up for each freebie site once. Signing up more than once will disqualify you.
  8. You can only do each offer once, even if it's on a different freebie site! The affiliates communicate with the freebie sites and will inform them if you've done the offer before. Doing an offer more than once will also get you disqualified. Don't worry, there are tons of offers to do.

Let’s get started!
What do you want to go for first? iPod? PS3? Xbox 360? Wii? Or cash? For your first time I would recommend a gift with low referral requirements, an iPod. You can get a Shuffle for 3 referrals, a 4GB Nano for 5, a 30GB Video for 6, or $250 PayPal for 7. The 123StuffForFree network is one of the top rated freebie networks out there and they have an iPod site that is perfect to start out with.

If you want a different gift, check out the links on the right side of the page. There I will talk a bit about each site, including the gifts and offers on each.

If you have any questions please leave a comment and I will do my best to answer it.

Are these sites scams?
Most think free sites are scams for a few reasons. One is that they have no idea how free sites work. The free site owners get paid a commision each time someone completes a trial offer. If you're going for a free iPod that needs 5 referrals, the free site gets paid each time one of your referrals signs up for an offer. And trust me, they aren't losing money on this!! The second reason most feel these sites are scams is because they've tried it once and never got credit for the offer they did. 99% of the time this is due to popup blockers, incorrect browser settings and anti-virus/firewall software. I found it best to use Internet Explorer set to accept all cookies. Before I complete an offer on each site I go into Internet Explorer's settings, delete my cookies and temporary internet files. I have received credit on every site I've signed up for using this method!

If you still think these sites are scams, please check out my proof pictures on the right!!

What should I know before getting started?
Yes
, glad you asked! There are a few rules you need to follow so you will not get banned from any of the free sites. First, never, ever, ever sign up for the same site more than once. This will get you banned! Second, never do the same offer twice, even if it's on a different free site. If you do the Netflix trial on one site DO NOT DO IT AGAIN! This will also get you banned. These free sites have been around a while and they know all the tricks that people try to use. You will not get away with it! Besides, isn't it better to get this free stuff the honest way? Third, always provide accurate information to the free sites. They have strict privacy policies and will never sell your information to a third party. If you don't provide accurate info, where are they going to send your prize to?

How do I get started?

Pick a link on the right of the page. Are you interested in getting a free Xbox 360? Nintendo Wii? Playstation 3? Or how about cash? 99% of the sites that offer game systems also offer cash as a prize. When you sign up you can pick what you want!
